Sharp AQUOS WiFi enabled freestyle Announces portable TV for Japan

The phrase "portable TV" conjure up can images from a handheld device or luggable 5-inch CRT for most people, but it looks like sharp is intention to change this perception. It has just its new freestyle AQUOS portable TV-a 20-inch, Wi-Fi enabled LED series announces that comes paired with a wireless digital TV tuner, so you can roam it around your home. As you can see above, it also comes complete with a handle (which can be used to hang on the wall), and display a built-in stand for some tabletop or countertop. It packs also DLNA support so that you can access your media library, although in contrast to their tablet-esque appearances, you can only reach and touch it - you do things the old fashioned way with a remote control to control. There is still no word on any plans for a North American version, but people in Japan able to pick one in their choice of black, white or pink in early June for ¥ 100,000 (or about $1,220).
