Striking full electric concept car makes world premiere at Seoul motor show
KIA Naimo pushes through simplicity of design sophistication
B segment utilities combined Korean heritage vehicle with high-tech innovations
(SEOUL) March 31, 2011 - combined its world premiere at the Seoul motor show today (Thursday) makes the electric concept car KIA Naimo, Korean heritage with innovative modern functions.
Under its name from the Korean word "Ne Mo", (pronounced 'NEH. mo', which means "square"), the Naimo electric crossover utility vehicle (CUV) from KIA international design team in Seoul, and draws attitude is due to its simple lines and solid, muscular.

The third electric vehicle design of KIA Motors Corporation one year presents the 3.9 metre Naimo, research concept the practical aspects of introducing a zero emissions, five-door, four-seater city car in a future niche market.
Measurement 3,890 mm long, the Naimo large wheelbase, width and height (2,647, 1,844 and 1,589 mm or) - plus the short overhangs, you place a wheel at each corner - ensure that the cabin offers exceptional head, leg and shoulder space for passengers.
The concept car has no B-pillars and features rear hinged rear doors, easy access to the cabin and trunk three to maximize opening allows versatile access to the load Bay to the luggage sizes vary.
Power comes from an electric motor, PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous motor) with a maximum output of 80 kW (109 PS) and a maximum torque of 280 NM, Naimo reach a top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph) enable.
A double pack of 27 kWh battery located under the cargo floor and innovative LiPoly (lithium ion polymer) technology, which offers numerous advantages of over other types of batteries used. Equipped with the battery, Naimo offers a driving range of 200 km (124) on a single charge. The show car with special low-drag 20-inch diameter alloy wheels is equipped to increase the range.
Under the fast charge cycle (50 kW) the Naimo battery can be charged for 25 minutes to 80 percent of its capacity. Under the normal cycle (3.3 kW), 100 percent performance is achieved after five and a half hours.
Growing Naimo KIA test fleet of hybrid will combine, electric and fuel cell vehicles will in detail in different conditions of future production models with 0 (zero) or develop significantly reduced emissions.
