New series leads major improvement of the security features in mid-range models
Concord, MA, 1 April 2011 - TomTom, the world's leading provider of location and navigation products and services, announced today the availability of VIA series in the United States and Canada. The new TomTom VIA navigation devices, announced at the consumer electronics show, a powerful navigation experience with a smooth new design, an advanced software platform and premium offer consumers security enhancing features such as intuitive speech recognition and Bluetooth ? hands-free calling.
The new VIA series offers offers even more ways for drivers, a selection of models, including the 4.3 "VIA 1405 and 1435, as also the 5" VIA 1505 and 1535. consumers have also the possibility, these models with life cards and/or lifetime traffic * purchase.
New design
Drivers are in the style with TomTom VIA's super slim design and its new, integrated and innovative fold and go EasyPort ? mount travel. This comfortable mounting system allows easy positioning of the device either on the dashboard or windshield and it orients the display with a useful flip-screen function.
The devices are in two versions: the VIA offered 1435 and 1535 has a contemporary brushed aluminum finish, while the VIA 1405 and 1505 range offers a classic, black surface.
Security enhancing premium features
Via 1435 and 1535 area offers a range of premium driver improvement of safety features, including intuitive voice control and Bluetooth hands-free calling, which driver, their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel to keep.
